I am a Pediatric RN and this is the only product that we use on the babies in the hospital and it does the job. The Dr.'s even write the order on the chart like this "Apply Butt Paste liberally" and the pharmacy sends it to us. This is not a product that we just keep in our store room. Mom's are responsible for bringing their own Diaper cream. This is what the Dr's order when the rash is BAD. As a new mommy, and knowing what I have seen, I use this product with every single diaper change and so far I have had no issues what so ever. The smell can be a little over powering, I agree, but who cares? It is the well being of your child that is more important, right? The first time that your child has a diaper rash because you are using some other product you will kick yourself for not using this one. This is the best. Flat out!

Clears the Worst Diaper Rash! Smells like Flea Collar!

My son normally never has a problem with diaper rash, but over the last 2 days, while teething and having tummy problems, he developed his first case of bad diaper rash. We tried using the cheapie cream we normally use, but it just got worse. I went and bought this stuff, slathered some on him, put him down for a nap, and when he woke up it had already improved a great deal. I couldn't believe my eyes. Last night he wouldn't even sit down in the tub because it hurt him so bad, but tonight he didn't have a problem. I'm very impressed! As far as the smell, to me it smells like a flea collar. But the way this stuff works, I don't care how it smells! It's covered by a diaper anyway! This won't be my everyday cream, since at 14 months he's only had this kind of diaper rash once, but it will be around my house for emergencies for sure.

This was given to me as a gift. Yes, the name is funny, but it seems to clear rashes pretty quickly. The only thing I did not like at all is that is STAINS cloth diapers! I cannot get the stain out of my diapers, no matter how many washes, no matter what I use. If it did not leave a brown stain and residue on my diapers, I would give it 5 stars. If you plan to use this with cloth, be sure to use a liner, or set aside some diapers that you will only use with this cream; that way, only a few of your dipes will get messed up.

Butt Paste has been the only thing that has worked for us. Desitin did nothing to protect my daughter, who has only had one diaper rash in 8 months and that was before this product. The Dr. told us that severe diaper rashes can turn into yeast infections, which is probably why it didn't work for some people. But since we've been using Butt Paste, diaper rashes are not an issue. It was recommended to me by a nurse who used this on her son years ago. I do agree that it stains, but it is worth a happy-bum.

My sister-in-law recommended this to me when I was pregnant. She swore by it and I do to. I saw some of the 1 star reviews and don't know what they are talking about. My son has had a rash before that was so bad he couldn't take a bath. I just slather it on thickly and then sprinkle a little bit of powder over it so it doesn't stick to the diaper. By morning all is well. The cream is light tan and has a light scent but really not noticeable considering the things one finds in a diaper. The smaller tube fits really well in a diaper bag.

With a name like "Butt Paste," I had to try it.... now I use it with every diaper change! It works so well and I think it smells wonderful... I wish it came in a lotion because I'd use it on myself! Little pricey, but worth it.
*Note: Bodreaux's has a whole line of products and they're all great. The BabyKisses chapstick is nice for my daughter...In crazy St. Louis weather her lips get so chapped, and this stuff is gentle and she loves the taste.

The best OTC ointment on the market, by far!

This is the best diaper rash product available over-the-counter right now. My son cried and whined when we applied other ointments (Balmex, etc.) so I decided to try a sample of this cream based on the suggestion of a friend of mine. No more whining from my son! Also, it works fast, smells good, and it's easy to clean up, too. I've recommended it to several other moms since we started using it and all have told me that they got the same results. I'm pregnant with our second child now and plan to continue using this product until potty training is completed for both of my kids.

THIS STUFF IS A MUST HAVE!!! EVERY MOTHER MUST OWN THIS BRAND FOR DIAPER RASH. I USED TO USE DESITIN UNTIL I RESEARCHED BETTER OINTMENT FOR TREATING DIAPER RASHES AND THEN TRIED THIS ONE. I HAVE ALWAYS USED DESITIN TO TREAT IT BUT MY SONS RASH WAS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY SOMETHING ELSE FOR THE FIRST TIME. I READ ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND TRIED IT. PUT IT ON MY SON AT NIGHT AND THE NEXT MORNING HIS DIAPER RASH HAD DISAPPEARED!!! I WAS AMAZED...I HAVE NEVER GONE BACK TO DESITIN AGAIN. TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THIS PRODUCT AND GET IT FOR THEIR BABIES!!!

Our newborn had chafing and very red legs/private area. We used Butt Paste and after ONE application all the chafing and redness were gone. We use it every diaper change now and have had no chafing problems since. I don't find the smell offensive. I would rather something work and not be perfumed than to be overloaded with harmful perfumes just to smell good to the parent. It is a little messy to apply but that is a small price to pay for the 100% effectiveness it delivers.
